Access controls for embedded ipushpull pages

If the data in your embedded ipushpull pages is private, you can use ipushpull access control to make sure only the right people can see it. Your users will have to enter a username and password to unlock the data. This article explains how.

To do this you will create a separate ipushpull account for each of your users, then assign permissions to each page so that only the correct users can see it. So if you have a user called Jane Smith, you will create an ipushpull account for her, then grant her read/write, read only or no access to the pages in your folder, on a page-by-page basis.

If you don't want to create individual accounts for each user, you can also use ipushpull encryption to protect pages. See this article for more details.

1. Invite Users to your Folder

To create an ipushpull account for a user you should first invite them to your folder. See this page for instructions.

2. Give them access to their Pages

After they have accepted your invitation you need to grant them access to the pages you want them to see. This page explains how.

3. Embed the ipushpull page into your site

Embed the ipushpull page in your website as explained here.

4. What users see before they log in

If you've set everything up correctly then when a visitor opens your web page, the embedded ipushpull page will display a login form:

Once the visitor has entered their email address and password their page will be displayed.
